About the roles | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga
We are looking for caring and motivated Independent Living and Youth Support Workers to join our growing team in Nelson (Whakatū). These roles support people in their homes and communities.
You will work with individuals who have high and complex needs, including disability, trauma backgrounds and behavioural challenges. Using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, you’ll support people to build confidence, independence and meaningful community connections.
These roles require a high level of personal cares carried out with dignity and respect. Resilience is required as you will be supporting complex needs and challenging behaviour.
Our organisation has a strong commitment to safeguarding children and any employees will be vetted to a level appropriate to the role for which they have applied.
What we’re looking for | He aha ā mātou e rapu ana
Experience supporting people with high and complex needs
A calm, empathetic and flexible approach
A proactive and person-centred approach to support.
Have a valid work or student visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry
Relevant Health and Wellbeing qualifications, or a willingness to work towards these
A full, clean NZ Driver’s licence
Have a valid work or student visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry
