Full-time and part-time opportunities available across Christchurch, Rangiora and Rolleston.

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for warm, reliable Support Workers to join our Independent Living team and work alongside disabled people to live the lives they choose.

No two days will look quite the same. You might be supporting someone with everyday tasks at home, getting out and about in the community, attending appointments or activities, building confidence and independence, or working towards personal goals.

At the heart of the role is building genuine, respectful relationships and recognising that the person you support is the expert in their own life.

You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, use good judgement, communicate well and bring a calm, positive approach to your work.

Mōu | About you

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have a genuine desire to support people to live a good life

• Build rapport easily and value respectful, positive relationships

• Are reliable, adaptable and comfortable working independently

• Hold a full current NZ Driver Licence

• Hold a current First Aid Certificate, or are willing to complete one at our cost

• Are eligible to work in New Zealand, or hold a valid work visa with at least 12 months remaining

• Can work flexibly, including at least one weekend shift each week

Experience in disability support is welcomed, but just as important is your attitude, values and willingness to learn.
