Permanent Reliever (Support Worker) Dunedin Ōtepoti
We’re looking for full-time Permanent Reliever Support Workers to join our Supported Living (SL) and RIDSAS teams in Dunedin Ōtepoti. This is a meaningful opportunity to be part of services that walks alongside people to live the lives they choose, with connection, dignity and purpose.

Our SL Services provides people with Autism and or an Intellectual Disability with 24/7 support. SL supports people to live as independently as possible in their communities. Our RIDSAS service provides 24/7 specialist rehabilitation support for people with Intellectual Disabilities who have high and complex needs and who have had contact with the judicial system.
He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga | About the role
As a Permanent Reliever, you’ll bring flexibility and consistency, stepping in to support across a rotating roster when regular staff are unavailable. This role includes working regular weekends on a rotating roster, with one weekend off every four weeks. You’ll be supporting within male-only services, so we are currently seeking male applicants.
In this role, you’ll build genuine relationships and support people who may have experienced significant challenges to grow their confidence, independence and sense of belonging. You’ll encourage participation in everyday life, help create meaningful opportunities, and celebrate progress—big and small.
You’ll be part of a supportive, values-driven team that has each other’s backs and shares a commitment to making a real difference. Alongside this, you’ll benefit from five weeks annual leave and an hourly rate of $29.10.

You’ll bring a person-centred approach, a positive attitude and a real desire to make a difference. You’ll be someone who connects easily with others, builds trust, and shows up with consistency and care. You’ll also be willing to complete Health and Wellbeing training and grow your skills over time.
You’ll need to be eligible to work in Aotearoa New Zealand with at least 12 months remaining on your visa, hold a full clean New Zealand driver licence, and either have a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to complete one with our support.
